Beet pulp is a byproduct of the sugar beet industry. After the juice and sugar is extracted from the beets, the pulp remains. This is dried and then pressed into pellets.
CAUTION ! Beet pulp pellets should always be soaked for at least 12 hours in hot or cold water.
